European coach transport regulations

In order to transport you safely, the first priority is to transport you in strict compliance with the regulations governing coach transport activity. You will find the description below.

This duration is set at 9:00 a.m. maximum with the possibility of 10:00 a.m. twice a week.

The amplitude (time between the start of service time and the end of service time) is limited to 12:00 p.m., it can be increased to 2:00 p.m. subject to a break in the day of at least 3:00 a.m. during which the driver cannot use his vehicle. The authorized range is increased to 6:00 p.m. in the event of double crewing.

It is limited to 4:30 a.m. without a break during the day and reduced to 4:00 a.m. at night (between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.).

A 45-minute break must be taken after a period of continuous driving of 4.5 hours; It is possible to divide these 45 minutes into a first break of 15 minutes followed by a second break of 30 minutes spread over the period.

It is 11:00 consecutive hours between two working days. It is increased to 12:00 p.m. in the event of splitting; in this case a rest time fraction of at least 9:00 a.m. must be observed.

Beyond the criteria set out above, a second driver is mandatory. This allows driving time and amplitude to be increased to 18 hours.

During long journeys, it is possible to set up driver relays. This allows the trip to continue with a fresh and rested driver, when the 1st driver or 1st double crew has exhausted their driving or amplitude times.
